JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri State Auditor says he may file a lawsuit against St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner.Auditor Scott Fitzpatrick said she’s not handing over the information he needs to complete the audit to see if her office is wasting taxpayers' money. He said he’s been after certain documents for some time now and has given the Circuit Attorney’s Office deadlines. He said he'd run out of patience.“If we don’t received that in the next week or so, then we will be going to court," Fitzpatrick said. "We basically have to file a lawsuit to enforce the petition in court, where a judge would essentially order the Circuit Attorney’s Office to comply with the subpoena, and if they fail to do that, we would have to go back to the judge and say they didn’t. Then the judge would have to determine if they were going to be held in contempt of court or what was going to happen there. So the next step is just going to court to enforce the subpoena and force them to comply with...Cardinals to host 'Jayson Tatum Night' in August

Democrats have a plan to help.

Last December, thousands of Colorado families received an unpleasant early gift for the holidays: an energy bill that was, in many cases, hundreds of dollars more expensive than normal. Many reacted in shock, and our offices were flooded with emails and phone calls from constituents asking for help: Surely, this must be some sort of mistake? I don’t remember using twice as much energy this month; why is my bill twice as expensive? The restaurant and entertainment venue in Lakewood is expected to reopen in May.“South Park” character Kyle Broflovski once described Casa Bonita as “the Disneyland of Mexican restaurants.” And after spending months talking to longtime fans and former employees, it’s clear that the pink palace truly is the most magical place in Colorado. That ethos is due in no small part to the live entertainment and experiential amenities onsite, which also resemble Disneyland on a small scale, shrunk down to fit perfectly in a strip mall near Denver’s urban core. The restaurant now also has celebrity owners, “South Park” creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker, giving it a dose of Hollywood sheen. In anticipation of Casa Bonita’s reopening sometime this month (official date is TBA), we recently polled The Denver Post’s readers about thei...Latest news
