AURORA, Colo (KDVR) -- The search continues for Alexis (Alex) Chhoeun, a 16-year-old who hasn’t been heard from since Monday. The family told FOX31 Alex was last seen wearing a red beanie with a black zip-up hoodie, black shorts and white shoes. Her father, Paul Chhoeun, said they just want her back home safe. "Just not having her home is the most difficult thing and not knowing if she’s safe wherever she’s at," Chhoeun said. DENVER (KDVR) -- Denver is changing its policy when it comes to how it responds to migrants in the city and county, specifically when it comes to providing emergency shelter. The root cause has to do with federal funding limitations. The announcement was made on Thursday.There has been an influx of migrants arriving in Denver since last year. Since December, the city has reported sheltering and supporting 6,392 migrants from the southern border and it comes with a big price tag. DENVER (KDVR) -- Marijuana consumers could soon be cutting their time down inside a dispensary with a bill that's moved forward which would further allow online purchases.A bill has advanced for online marijuana sales, letting the buyer pay online and have their product delivered. Dispensaries have been able to allow for online pre-orders before, but this bill would allow customers to pay online and get the marijuana delivered and not have to come into the store at all. BEIJING (AP) — China says it carried out a successful ground-based mid-course missile interception test in an apparent sign of progress in its ability to bring down weapons incoming from space. The Defense Ministry says the operation was carried out late Friday night within Chinese territory and achieved “the desired test objective.”The test was “defensive in nature and not targeted against any country,” the ministry said, giving no other details such as whether it actually struck an object, how many interceptors were fired and where they landed. A man is hospitalized after being shot in the head on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Friday night.Police responded to reports of a shooting at Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue around 7:37 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.When officers arrived, a 37-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to his head, authorities said. The victim’s identity has not been released.Two suspects fled the scene — a Hispanic female and a Hispanic male, both in their 20s, police said.Police said the victim initially witnessed some sort of fight or argument between the suspects when he tried to intervene.That’s when the male suspect pulled out a gun and shot the victim in the head in front of the Hard Rock Café, authorities said.The suspects ran off into the crowds of Hollywood Boulevard before officers arrived. A career criminal dubbed the “Snake Burglar” was arrested Wednesday for allegedly committing over 70 thefts throughout Riverside.The suspect was identified as Christopher Michael Jackson, 32, a local transient, according to the Riverside Police Department.Jackson’s signature move typically involved removing a windowpane to break into a local business and upon entering, he would crawl along the floor to avoid triggering alarm systems or motion sensors, police said.He would then cut open the business’ safe and take any money inside before fleeing.Since July 2021, police say Jackson was responsible for over 70 commercial burglaries throughout the Riverside area.Jackson had been arrested several times before and was recently sentenced to “six sentences of 16 months in jail after pleading guilty to 23 felonies,” according to arrest documents. “However, laws or orders pertaining to overcrowding in the jail system allowed him to only serve less than 10 days in jail.” Father murdered in P...Latest news
