(BCN) -- Two people were charged for allegedly burglarizing a Christian Dior store in San Francisco last week, according to prosecutors.Ahjanae Woods, 23, and Terry Nichols, 28, pleaded not guilty to one count of second-degree commercial burglary, one count of grand theft, one count of organized retail theft, one count of conspiracy and one count of resisting arrest, the San Francisco District Attorney's Office said in a statement Tuesday.Around 6:50 a.m. last Thursday, Woods and Nichols, along with some companions, arrived in three vehicles at the Union Square neighborhood and first tried to allegedly break into a Fendi store at 195 Grant St. The group then allegedly broke the gate and doors at a Christian Dior store at 185 Post St., where they stole numerous handbags and other merchandise, San Francisco police said. DENVER (KDVR) — One person was killed in an early morning shooting in the Five Points neighborhood on Wednesday.Just after 1:34 a.m. on Oct. 18, Denver Police responded to a shooting in the 2300 block of North Broadway. FOX31 went to the scene where there were several homeless encampments set up along the sidewalk.When officers arrived at the scene, they found one victim. At that time, the person's extent of injuries was unknown. DENVER (KDVR) — With over two months left in the year, the pedestrian death toll is already close to an all-time high in Colorado, and the Colorado Department of Transportation expects those numbers to keep rising during the winter months.The pedestrian death toll in Colorado increased by 12% over the last year, CDOT tweeted.To put that into perspective, by Oct. 17, 2022, there were 85 pedestrian deaths. As of Oct. 17, 2023, there are already 97 deaths, according to CDOT. Denver ranks high among cities with the largest homicide rates In the early 2000s, there were around 40 to 70 pedestrian deaths a year. Throughout the past few years, the deaths have been steadily increasing.
