Merchants along Los Angeles' famed Olvera Street say an increase in homelessness coupled with an infestation of rats are threatening their livelihoods.Video shared with KTLA shows rodents crawling along streets, sidewalks and under vendor stands, scavenging for food. Just when the temperatures started to cool down, the heat seeped back into Southern California. Residents in the Inland Empire are feeling the heat wave as temperatures in some areas reach triple digits. Many parks were empty as residents and community members remained inside to avoid the heat. Don Ramos, a Rancho Cucamonga resident who walks laps at Hermosa Park with his dog, cut his exercise short, as temperatures climbed to the 90s just before noon. “It’s bearable, but it’s getting a little warm for her so I'm ready to take her home.” Other residents who chose to have a picnic to soak up the sun say they are keeping cool by “wiping ourselves down” and “throwing cold water in our face.” The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory for several cities across SoCal, including some in the Inland Empire which could reach triple digits through Saturday. “Highs are generally expected to range 7-15 degrees above normal,” said Elizabeth Adams from the N...Juszczyk says team cohesion is playing into 49ers' success: 'Playing with my best friends'

(KRON) -- All it takes is one chant of "JUUUUUICE" to see how beloved fullback Kyle Juszczyk is by the 49er faithful. Juszczyk has proven himself to be an indispensable asset to the 49ers for his willingness and ability to both block and catch the football. Now in his seventh season with the 49ers, the Harvard product is the longest-tenured player on the offense and the second-most senior member of the team behind defensive lineman Arik Armstead. Juszczyk has seen it all in San Francisco. He came to the team for Kyle Shanahan's first season, becoming a part of the organization's shift from rebuilding team to bona fide contender. Broncos trade benched pass rusher Randy Gregory to 49ers in deal including swap of 2024 draft picks "Things have really come full-circle," the seven-time Pro Bowler told Red and Gold Zone. LOS ANGELES (AP) — Clayton Kershaw has never been one for making excuses. Whether it’s his health or velocity, both of which have taken hits in recent years, he would rather gut out whatever is going on in silence.“He’s a survivor, he’s a competitor,” Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said. “He just wills himself to great performance.”The 100-win Dodgers will rely on their stalwart left-hander when Kershaw starts the NL Division Series opener Saturday against the 84-win Arizona Diamondbacks. He was 13-5 with a 2.46 ERA during the season.“Might not be throwing 95, like I used to face him 15 years ago, but he knows how to pitch and he’s a first-ballot Hall of Famer for a reason,” teammate Freddie Freeman said Friday. “The velocity is 88, 89 right now and with that slider it’s still Clayton Kershaw.”Kershaw missed over a month with a shoulder injury that neither he nor the Dodgers have said much about. The team carefully managed his outings, which have not gone beyond five...Álvaro Uribe, expresidente de Colombia, irá a juicio por supuesto fraude procesal y manipulación de testigos
