MARION COUNTY, Fla. (WSVN) — A 31-year-old Florida man allegedly drove across several states to pick up a 16-year-old girl in Lima, Ohio who he met online through video game “World of Warcraft.” Luckily, police stepped in before it was too late.According to an arrest report, Thomas Ebersole drove roughly 14 hours and nearly 1,000 miles to pick up the 16-year-old in Central Ohio. Investigators say Ebersole met the girl online while playing “World of Warcraft.” From there they developed a relationship.“Then through the course of their online relationship, decided that it was a good idea for him to come up and meet her in Ohio. It was a big, warm welcome for a South Florida high school marching band after putting on a stellar performance in London’s New Year’s Day Parade. The Key West High School marching band has returned home from the once-in-a-lifetime trip.“It was really great experience it was the last parade that as a senior I’ll ever get to be a part of it was very emotional, I started crying near the end of it just it was a great experience, I was happy to have it,” said band member, Parker Curry.The “Marching Conchs” displaying their musical talents by playing hits like The Beatles’ “Eleanor Rigby,” Elton John’s “Your Song,” and Blondie’s “One Way or Another” along a two-mile route. Massachusetts State Police say a specialized unit is once again searching a forest in Worcester County as authorities continue to look for a murder suspect who hasn’t been seen since October 2023.An MSP spokesperson confirmed to 7NEWS that members of a Special Emergency Response Team (SERT) have been searching the woods in Ashburnham and Gardner as police resume efforts to find Aaron Pennington, who is wanted on a charge of murder for the death of his wife, Breanne Pennington.Authorities launched an intense search for the suspect back in late October after Breanne was found fatally shot at the couple’s Gardner home on Sunday, Oct. 22. Officials say the Sumner Tunnel is back open to traffic after an “over height” tractor-trailer truck appeared to get wedged on Route 1A, closing the road for a time.The MassDOT first announced the closure just after 11:40 a.m. on Friday, asking drivers to expect delays as crews respond to the southbound side of the roadway.An image shared by an account on X, formerly known as Twitter, showed a tractor-trailer stopped under a section of tunnel ceiling with no immediate damage visible.Nearly 30 minutes after their initial announcement, the MassDOT said the tunnel was back open.
