The Chicago Bears formally introduced five of their free agent signings Thursday at Halas Hall. General manager Ryan Poles also spoke with reporters for the first time since trading the No. 1 pick in next month’s draft. A St. Paul man was sentenced this week to 15 years in federal prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm.According to court documents, Geraldo Jay Dilworth, 35, was waiting to board a train at the Union Depot in St. Paul on March 17, 2022, when officers learned he was a suspect in a crime. Minnesota regulators said Thursday they’re monitoring the cleanup of a leak of 400,000 gallons of radioactive water from Xcel Energy’s Monticello nuclear power plant, and the company said there’s no danger to the public.“Xcel Energy took swift action to contain the leak to the plant site, which poses no health and safety risk to the local community or the environment,” the Minneapolis-based utility said in a statement.While Xcel reported the leak of water containing tritium to state and federal authorities in late November, the spill had not been made public before Thursday. New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) on Thursday called on a state assembly member who has been accused of sexual misconduct to resign, saying his behavior was “unacceptable.” Hochul said at a press conference that she supports the two women who have come forward with allegations against Juan Ardila, a Democratic assemblyman who has served in office since the start of this year. “I condemn all forms of sexual assault. It is intolerable and unacceptable what he did. I support the survivors in their call for accountability, and yes, he should resign,” Hochul said. SALEM, Mo. - An investigation is underway after the shocking discovery of human skeletal remains in rural Crawford County, Missouri.The remains were found near Mound Ridge Road at Meramec Springs Park in Cook Station. The area is about a two-hour drive southwest of St. Louis.A hunter came across a few suspicious items of clothing Tuesday evening on private property. Major Deputy Adam Carnal, Crawford County Sheriff's Department, said investigators obtained a search warrant and found skeletal remains with the clothing Wednesday morning.The remains have not been identified. An innocent driver suffered minor injuries when a police pursuit ended with a dramatic crash in L.A.’s Jefferson Park neighborhood Thursday afternoon.According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the chase started around 2:25 p.m. somewhere on Figuroa Street when officers tried to stop a driver in a stolen black sedan.The chase continued until the suspect slammed into another vehicle at the Arlington Avenue entrance to the 10 Freeway.
