ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (KDVR) -- On Friday, Broncos head coach Sean Payton offered an apology following his scathing review of the 2022 Broncos Season and the former Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett.“It was a mistake obviously. I needed a little bit more filter," said Sean Payton after the Broncos’ third training camp practice. Broncos training camp schedule announced Payton also addressed his comments that singled out members of the Broncos front office, including Broncos General Manager George Paton.“The front office and the ownership are the two reasons I came here," Payton said. “So, George (Paton) and I are close. DENVER (KDVR) -- A local nonprofit is using the summer months to help out seniors in the metro paint their homes. It's part of Brothers Redevelopment's Paint-A-Thon that runs through the spring and summer months, where volunteers get together to paint the homes of seniors who otherwise couldn't get it done physically or financially. Those volunteering on Friday were with Huntington National Bank. This is part of the company's $40 billion Strategic Community Plan which reflects the bank’s commitment to improve the economic vitality, financial security and sustainable future for those it serves.The nonprofit was able to auction off a signed Nuggets basketball shortly after the team took home the championship. Those proceeds were a huge part in making Paint-A-Thon a success thus far. DENVER (KDVR) -- Two popular 14ers that are part of the DeCaLiBron loop reopened Friday after they were closed in March because of landowner liability concerns.Hikers can now reach Mount Lincoln and Mount Democrat and can gain access to Mount Cameron after signing an electrotonic landowner's liability waiver, according to a coalition that advocates for updates to the Colorado Recreational Use Statute."While we celebrate today's opening, it's a temporary solution to a larger issue. PHOENIX (AP) — The backup Uber driver for a self-driving vehicle that killed a pedestrian in suburban Phoenix in 2018 pleaded guilty Friday to endangerment in the first fatal collision involving a fully autonomous car.Maricopa County Superior Court Judge David Garbarino, who accepted the plea agreement, sentenced Rafaela Vasquez, 49, to three years of supervised probation for the crash that killed 49-year-old Elaine Herzberg. Vasquez told police that Herzberg “came out of nowhere” and that she didn’t see Herzberg before the March 18, 2018, collision on a darkened Tempe street. Authorities are investigating a reported bomb threat made at Miami International Airport. According to officials with Miami-Dade Police and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, around 5:20 p.m., units were dispatched to the airside portion of the airport’s cargo area, in the vicinity of 6650 NW 22nd St. in reference to the reported threat. 7Skyforce hovered above employees across the street from Building 707 in the cargo area shortly after they were evacuated. A sensor or device went off in one of the bays that indicated there was some kind of suspicious package. It was described as a 3 foot, by 3 foot, by 3 foot crate.First responders have shut down Northwest 22nd Street, which is next to the far side of the building.MDFR units have set up a command post on the northern side of the airport, near 67th Avenue and 22nd Street. Four workers were rushed to the hospital Friday afternoon after falling from scaffolding while working on a project on Main Street in Milford. Emergency crews responded to the scene around 3 p.m. Two of the injured people were taken to nearby Milford Hospital.
