RENSSELAER, N.Y. (NEWS10) - Rensselaer mayor Michael Stammel said Friday that the water main break in Troy is affecting the water supply in Rensselaer. The break happened Friday morning near the corner of 4th and Federal Streets. A CDTA bus was stuck.The mayor said all residential and commercial users must conserve water until further notice. The mayor says that currently there is no water being pumped into the city's storage tank. The water level was at about 38 feet at noon on Friday. The mayor says the city usually consumes about a foot of water from the tank an hour.The restriction took effect immediately and will be in place for 24 hours. ST. LOUIS - Rehab is underway for Janae Edmondson, nearly one month after a life-changing tragedy in St. Louis. Edmondson, 17, was visiting St. Louis with her family for a volleyball tournament on Feb. 18. While walking around downtown St. Louis, a speeding driver failed to yield and collided with another vehicle. That second vehicle struck Edmondson, and both of her legs have been amputated since the crash.According to an update on her GoFundMe page, Edmondson began rehab with support from her parents Thursday. ST. LOUIS - A circuit judge sentenced a St. Louis man to 13 years in prison Thursday over the shooting death of his brother in 2021. Honor Johnson Jr., 38, was sentenced to 10 years in prison on a second-degree murder charge and an additional three years on an armed criminal action charge. Johnson pleaded guilty to both charges, admitting to killing his 33-year-old brother JamesJohnson on Jan. 19, 2021, in the 1300 block of Union Boulevard. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department is looking for a vehicle and its driver after a fatal hit-and-run in Loma Linda last month.The Feb. 28 incident left 39-year-old James Spivery Jr. lying in the roadway near the intersection of Barton Road and Oakwood Drive, officials said in a news release. Spivery later succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital. Investigators believe the vehicle that struck Spivery might have been a white Nissan Juke, which likely has significant front-end damage and could be missing its front Nissan emblem. 38-Year-Old Man Dies, Alvaro Alvizo Diaz Arrested after Head-On Accident near Wellsona RoadPASO ROBLES, CA (March 17, 2023) – Late Tuesday night, Isaldo Santiago was killed in a wrong-way collision on Highway 101.Police responded to the scene around 11:18 p.m., just north of Wellsona Road on March 14th.According to reports, 33-year-old Alvaro Alvizo Diaz was heading east on Wellsona Road in a 2020 Nissan Sentra. For reasons unknown, he suddenly turned south onto the northbound lanes of Highway 101.Diaz then struck an oncoming vehicle driven by Santiago, head-on at about 65 mph. Medical personnel arrived and pronounced 38-year-old Santiago, of Oxnard dead at the scene.In addition, officers arrested Diaz on suspicion of DUI. Medics also transported him to Sierra Vista Trauma Center for treatment of major injuries.
