FLORISSANT, Mo. - An innocent bystander was hit by a stray bullet while inside their home Monday morning.According to Officer Steve Michael, a spokesman for the Florissant Police Department, the shooting occurred at 7 a.m. on New Florissant Road.Police claim two vehicles were speeding southbound and exchanging gunfire. One of the rounds went through a nearby home and struck a bystander in their foot. St. Louis woman finally gets towed vehicle back from Streets Dept. The victim was taken to a local hospital and treated, Michael said. (WTVO) — Check your bank account: Illinois residents have reported receiving payments from a $100 million class action suit.On September 28, 2022, a judge approved the settlement resulting from a lawsuit accusing the search giant of violating Illinois' biometric privacy laws.The class-action suit claimed Google collected and stored biometric data of its Google Photos users, violating Illinois law.Affected residents were advised to fill out a claim form. This week, residents have reported receiving payments in the amount of $95.38.Class-action members who appeared in a photo in the Google Photos app between May 1, 2015, and April 25, 2022, were eligible for a cut of the settlement.Users had to submit a claim by September 24th, 2022. Homeowners and local authorities are watching helplessly as homes continue to collapse into a canyon on the Palos Verdes Peninsula Monday. The Newport Beach Police Department is offering tips to the public on how to prevent residential burglaries after a Crystal Cove home was ransacked.The burglary was reported on Thursday, though it is believed to have occurred at about 8:45 p.m. on June 27 on Sandy Cove, police said in a news release. Police believe three burglars climbed a glass wall into the backyard, stood on a patio chair to get up to a balcony and shattered a glass door to gain entry to the house."The suspects ransacked the master bedroom, master bathroom and master closet," police said.
