CHICAGO — Tickets for the NASCAR 2024 Chicago Street race will go on sale on Wednesday.For a second-straight year, NASCAR drivers will take to the streets of the “Windy City” for a showcase on July 6-7.NASCAR’s Xfinity Series race will go off on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.(CT) with the Cup Series event taking place on Sunday at 3:30 p.m.(CT)According to NASCAR Chicago, registered presale begins Tuesday and tickets to the general public begins Wednesday. Kids under 12 get free admission to Saturday’s events, but will have to pay $45 for Sunday's general admission. AUSTIN (KXAN) – A Houston-area hospital chain that is expanding into the Austin area celebrated the opening of a clinic it said will be dedicated to women's health. On Monday, Texas Children opened the Pavilion for Women Obstetrics & Gynecology North Austin Clinic at its soon-to-be opened northwest Austin hospital. Texas Children's said the clinic will offer comprehensive care in menstrual disorders management, prenatal, and preventative care."One of the things that is unique about Texas Children's Pavilion for Women is the opportunity for a woman and her child to receive care in the same spot. Vikings defensive tackle Harrison Phillips has been named the team’s nominee for the 2023 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year. The annual accolade recognizes the player that best exemplifies commitment to philanthropy and community impact, as well as his excellence on the field.That has been a calling card for Phillips since the Buffalo Bills selected him in 2018. (NEWS10) -- National Grid has scheduled an emergency power outage for the Ticonderoga region for Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The planned power outage is for crews to complete repairs as part of the company's reliability work in the area. A driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI after a crash that left his two passengers dead and forced the closure of southbound lanes of the 5 Freeway through Santa Fe Springs Tuesday morning. The crash was reported at 1:39 a.m. just north of Carmenita Road, according to the California Highway Patrol's traffic incident log. A Honda Accord struck a big rig that was stopped on the shoulder of the freeway, CHP Sgt. Olivera said. Emergency crews respond to a fatal crash in Santa Fe Springs on Dec. 5, 2023. A deputy responding to a domestic violence call fatally shot a woman said to be armed with a kitchen knife in Lancaster Monday. Authorities were sent to the 2100 block of East Avenue J-8 regarding the disturbance around 6 p.m.Arriving deputies witnessed an altercation between a man and a woman, who was armed with a large kitchen knife, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department stated in a news release. A Thousand Oaks woman has succumbed to her wounds after nearly two weeks in the hospital, and her alleged attacker — her son — will now face a murder charge, as the Ventura County Sheriff's Office is investigating the attack as a homicide.Scott Goldberg, 21, allegedly assaulted a man and a woman in their 60s with a hammer on Nov. 19.
