LAKELAND, Fla. Hundreds of Ramsey County residents and business owners who paid their property taxes online recently were mistakenly charged twice for the amount they owed, county officials say.An issue with the county’s electronic payment system affected 678 taxpayers who used the online portal to pay their property tax bill between Sept. 29 and Oct. 2, causing their bank account to be charged a second time for the same amount two weeks later, according to Ramsey County spokesperson Rose Lindsay.The duplicate charges, which amounted to $3.75 million, have since been reversed, and affected taxpayers should have refunds in their accounts within two business days, Lindsay said.“The county was made aware of this issue yesterday and we immediately went to work investigating the issue with our electronic payment system vendor, CORE,” Lindsay said in an email Tuesday, adding that county officials have determined it was an isolated incident.“This is a new electronic payment system...Official report released on DocGo provided services

CAPITAL REGION, N.Y. (NEWS10) - New York State issued a report that details their findings in regards to DocGo, the company hired by New York City to care for asylum seekers. NEWS10 spoke with area leaders who said the report is not accurate among other developments. Fright Fest 2023 at Great Escape NEWS10 received a seven-page report from a DocGo spokesperson on the findings from the Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance on how DocGo is carrying out its mission of taking care of the migrants. NEWS10 has previously reported on complaints from asylum seekers and local organizations about a lack of food, supplies, and concerns about safety. Law enforcement officials have recovered at least 189 bodies from a southern Colorado funeral home specializing in green burials and cremations, a significant uptick as authorities sift through the shuttered facility.The Colorado Bureau of Investigation on Tuesday revised initial numbers from its investigation into the Return to Nature Funeral Home in Penrose. Authorities earlier this month said at least 115 “improperly stored” bodies had been recovered. A massive blast rocked a Gaza City hospital packed with wounded and other Palestinians seeking shelter Tuesday, killing hundreds of people, the Hamas-run Health Ministry said. One Pronounced Dead after Multi-Vehicle Crash near West A StreetSAN LORENZO, CA (October 17, 2023) – Early Thursday morning, a multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 880 claimed the life of one person.Officials received reports of the collision around 1:00 a.m. along I-880, just north of West A Street near Hayward-San Lorenzo.At this time, the cause of the incident remains unclear. However, the California Highway Patrol reported at least six to eight vehicles in the wreckage.
