DENVER (KDVR) -- The official reopening date for the iconic Casa Bonita restaurant still has not been announced, but an unofficial event created on Facebook says it will be on May 23.According to the Casa Bonita website, the restaurant is scheduled to reopen in May but no specific day is listed.Jesse Vogel started the Facebook group titled "The Great Wait in Line Event to eat the first night at Casa Bonita opening night!"He has posted several times, claiming a spot in line for the grand reopening with his dog Luna."Everyone! ARE, Sweden (KDVR) — Mikaela Shiffrin has done it again. The Colorado local officially tied the record for the most alpine World Cup wins by any skier, man or woman.Shiffrin continues to make history at just 27 years old. Friday morning in Are, Sweden she claimed her 86th victory in giant slalom at the World Cup matching Swedish great Ingemar Stenmark.Stenmark won a record 86 World Cup races in the 1970s and 80s.Shiffrin crossed the finish line and put her hands on her helmet, then to her face and shook her head slowly while taking in the enormity of her achievement.“This is just a spectacular day. The EU official was responding to a letter sent by eight MEPs in the Greens/European Free Alliance group in December. The EU lawmakers drew attention to how U.S. biotechnology company Orogenesis, where Heiko von der Leyen is director, had benefitted from EU money on two separate occasions. Two former directors of the local nonprofit Violence in Boston (VIB) and her husband were charged in a superseding indictment Thursday in connection with a scheme to defraud the City of Boston out of COVID-19 relief funds and rental assistance money, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. A 19-year-old Boston woman is set to be arraigned Friday for her alleged role in a credit card scam that police say involved her making over half-a-million dollars’ worth of fraudulent charges.Ariel Foster of Boston is now facing a charge of Larceny Over $1,200, according to the Burlington Police Department.In a statement, Burlington Police Chief Thomas Browne said her arrest came weeks after detectives were called to the Lovisa jewelry store in the Burlington Mall for a report of a credit card machine breach on Feb. 22.Browne said an investigation found that on three dates that month, some items scanned at the register had their prices increased, and that the cost of the items was then allegedly refunded to a credit card belonging to Foster, an employee at the store.Police identified eight such transactions, adding up to a total loss of $547,187.
